Nicolette is currently a member of The Zion Temple Baptist Church where her pastor is Mark Tony Ward.  Pastor Ward recognized the call on Nicolette’s life and licensed her as a minister of the gospel on July 20, 2003.

 

  She is a native of Akron, Ohio.  She is the eldest of five children and has been married to Rodney D. Decatur for eighteen years.  They are the proud parents of four beautiful children, Joshua , Tyra , Jacob and Jordan.

 

Having a deep reverence and love for God from her youth, Nicolette was baptized as a child by the late Rev. William C. Upshaw.  She received the baptism of the Holy Ghost on a Saturday Night, while ministering in song with Walter Scrutchings and the Akron City Family.  Nicolette is an original member of Raymond Hinton and the Anointed Voices of Praise.

 

 

Nicolette heard the voice of the Lord speak to her in 2000 concerning having a prayer group for women.  She was blessed to be a part of Back to Life Ministries, where she was able to develop a disciplined prayer life.  As a result of the teaching that she received in that Ministry, she was inspired to co-found God's Maidservant Ministries, where she continued to encourage, strengthen and teach women of all ages to develop a personal and intimate relationship with God.

 

Nicolette has appeared on TBN ‘s Local television channel, she has served in numerous choirs, she has taught vacation bible school, she has served as a youth leader, she coaches and works with young girls in the community in cheer leading, and she has served as Mistress of Ceremonies for several services.
